You are invited to participate in our ‘Woodcarving Weekend’ at Weyburn, Sask.
DATES: October 17th and 18th, 2026: Times are 9:30 A:M to 4:00 P:M both days.
LOCATION: Weyburn Public Library, 45 Bison Ave on the lower level (public elevator available).

This is a free weekend woodcarving event where you will receive a woodcarving blank to carve over the weekend or bring your own ‘PHD’ (project half done) to work on. Bring a couple of your carvings to display, if you like. Meet new woodcarvers and see what they are working on. Coffee, Tea and soft drinks are available at the Library, and lunches, both days will be available, at individuals cost, for sandwiches and subs (sandwiches one day and subs the next).
There will also be an optional supper at 5:00 P:M. on Saturday, October 17th at the Weyburn Legion, Branch 47, 150 3rd Ave. NE., not far from the Library. The supper menu will be Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy with vegetables and dessert for $26.00 per person, tax included. They will ‘pass the hat around’ for those wishing to ‘tip’ the staff. As the legion prefers a single bill method of payment, participants will pay Gary Anderson, cash or e-transfer only, ‘no credit cards’ and Gary will then look after the bill.
Please advise Gary by phone or email by October 12th that you will be attending the woodcarving portion of the weekend as well as who will be participating in the Saturday evening Supper. This will ensure that there are enough ‘Blanks’ available for the weekend as well as advising the Legion of the number of people participating in the Supper.
